Your role

About the opportunity:

• This is your chance to get a real taste of retail, as you're exposed to every facet of the business over the 12 months of your placement.
• You'll spend the first few months in the store, learning about (and doing) everyone's different roles.
• Once you know what goes into every role, you'll be better equipped to manage and lead the team.
• Along the way, you'll complete several different projects in a variety of areas across the business, including Logistics, Administration, Property, and Trading.
• You'll also work alongside an Area Manager, getting a real insight into their role.

Career progression

Once the program ends, you'll get great development opportunities throughout your Aldi career. If you worked hard and completed the Retail Management Placement, you could be offered the opportunity to return after graduation to the Graduate Area Manager Program. Your direct leader will need to recommend you first though.

About you

To apply for this role you need to have the following eligibility criteria:

• Placement Programmes are for university students currently studying towards an undergraduate degree, who are seeking a 12-month sandwich placement before their final year of study.
• 96 UCAS points or 63 Scottish Highers (or the equivalent on the old tariff) from your top 3 A-Levels/Scottish Highers (or the equivalent from other relevant qualifications)
• To be working toward a 2:1 degree in any discipline
• A driving license (and access to a car)
• The right to work in the UK
